WHO IS BEHIND UOBO

UOBO was founded by Narcís and Sergi, two 26-year-olds from Barcelona. We couldn’t find a quality solution to replace eggs in our diet, as we have done with meat, fish and dairy products, thanks to other Pant-Based substitutes.

With our savings, we made the prototype of UOBO, and from there, we have been growing until we have been able to offer the product to the whole country. This project is the dream of our lives – to create something that has a positive impact on the world and that people will enjoy when they eat it. Where to sign up? WHY UOBO STARTED

We too have grown up enjoying omelettes and scrambled eggs at home, restaurants and school. But it turns out that the process of raising, feeding and slaughtering a hen to sell an egg is not sustainable, and needs to change quickly. It takes 200L of water to produce a single egg, it contains cholesterol, and the hens suffer in the production process, so we have developed a product that is just as tasty, but healthier, fairer, sustainable and 100% plant-based, so you can continue to enjoy the egg experience, but without its consequences on our bodies, planet and animals.

The poultry industry has been an essential source of nutrition for centuries, but it is not without its challenges. From the conditions in which hens are raised to the environmental impact of large-scale production, there are genuine concerns that need to be addressed.
Our solution at UOBO seeks to not only address these challenges but to go beyond them by offering a product that is sustainable, ethical and delicious.

But why is this so important? In a world where resources are finite and the population continues to grow, we need more efficient and sustainable ways to produce food. In addition, as more and more people become aware of the ethical and environmental impacts of their choices, it is essential to offer alternatives that live up to these expectations.
